With a brief from the publisher that the author’s English – while very impressive as a second language – was not as idiomatic as readers might expect, careful negotiations about the level and process of editing followed and were successfully concluded. The page layouts needed particular intelligent attention to allow readers to pick up on points made by eclectic combinations of photos, plans, tables and diagrams of logical taxonomies.
