Jonathan Sawday’s magisterial discussion of technology and literature in the Renaissance was complemented by our customary fastidious treatment of his (more than 70 pages of) annotated references. The richness of the superb colour illustrations needed some work in Photoshop to make them properly communicative in black and white. In an unassuming but important way, the classic quality and thoroughness of our work supports the authority of the text and the reputation of the publisher.
‘I have really admired all the work that you and your colleagues have done on the book.’
